A gem packaging of the Jetty Web Server for JRuby:
Provides all common jetty server jars and some optional jars like, -util, -rewrite, -continuation
A Jetty::ServerFactory for simple programmatic server setup in ruby
A set of Jetty::TestServlets containing a SnoopServlet and PerfTestServlet (implemented in Java)
A jetty-service bin script for easy testing from the command line
Note that JSP support is provided separately in the companion jetty-jsp gem.

See the Jetty Versions table for details on minimum Java version requirements. Note however that as of 9.3.0.RC1, and despite the current state of this document, Java SE 8 is required.
To load webapps with JSPs, the rjack-jetty-jsp gem must be loaded.
